Based on Gretchen Rubin, the writer of 'The Happiness Project', says that sleeping is one of the ways to achieve happiness. People are not happy most of the times because they are too tired. Children slept well, hence, they got good rests. This brings them happiness for the whole day. Unlike adults, frequently having lack of sleeps, burning the midnight oil to complete their work.
Gretchen Rubin mention in her article that adults should have seven to eight hours of sleeping. Based on her own experience of practicing the habit of sleeping early, it is hard to sleep on time at first. However, she said that by setting the fixed time to sleep and wakes up helps her a lot. After having enough sleep, she feels more refreshed every morning and her work performances improve compared to the days that she does not have sufficient sleep. There are few signs that she provides showing that people do not have enough sleep:

- you're jolted out of sleep by your alarm clock every morning
